Context
Admin-level tutorials designed to simplify the explanation of frequently used and administrative features, providing clear, step-by-step instructions in straightforward language. This guide supports users with diverse tech proficiency to understand and efficiently utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) functionalities.

    • PowerPoint: Created the source document for ease of client use

    • Adobe Acrobat Pro: PDF is fully hyperlinked and user accessible

  • The project encountered several key challenges:

    • Canva and Google Docs Design Limitations
      Canva and Google Docs, the client’s preferred platforms, were inadequate for the required level of customization and asset handling.

    • Client's Proficiency with Adobe Suite
      The client’s unfamiliarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro necessitated a more accessible solution.

    To overcome these challenges, PowerPoint was utilized for the source document creation, offering a user-friendly and sustainable format for the client.

    Additionally, the lack of a structured outline or general steps required comprehensive research and fully custom development. Extensive screenshot cleanup and digital refinement were employed to produce precise and clear guides, minimizing confusion and enhancing overall clarity.

    • iorad: Micro-learning tech that captures specific actions like clicks, scrolling, and typing. Unlike basic screen recorders, iorad compiles information in real-time to produce polished, step-by-step tutorials that can be shared instantly.

    • Adobe Acrobrat Pro

  • Challenge
    Minimize the need for scheduled tech walkthroughs and lengthy video explanations by providing users with practical, hands-on resources. This approach will save staff time and empower end users to independently practice and apply their skills effectively.

    Solution

    Developed a series of interactive tutorials with step-by-step instructions. Users can practice each step on-screen before progressing, which builds confidence and ensures clear, repeatable instructions available on demand.

Micro-Learning Tutorial Samples (video)

Purpose: Attain access certification

Context
Series of micro-learning tutorials designed as an explainer and how-to reference hub. Videos were uploaded as an Articulate eLearning course. All videos were required to be watched prior to obtaining an internal certification that allowed users to access the system. These videos were used as both an introduction, refresher, and reference for users, depending on the needs of the individual.

  • Challenge: Screen recordings lacked time-stamping and clear mouse movements. Full voiceover was requested for all videos, but the ask was beyond budget and time constraints.

    Solution: Tutorials were categorized by complexity—complex topics received voiceovers and full eDevelopment. Simpler tutorials did not have voice-over and required following along and reading. This approach significantly expedited development.

    All videos included closed captioning and step-by-step instructions for clarity.

    Challenge: No branded video intros, outros, or UX callout style guides. The existing style guide was outdated due to a brand overhaul.

    Solution: Created new intros, outros, and UX elements based on proposed future guidelines. Used a high-contrast color palette to ensure accessibility and consistency.

reMarkable Tablet Layers Tutorial

Designed for: Public Consumer Product

Context
This asset provides a concise tutorial on utilizing the layers feature for an eCommerce product on reMarkable tablets. It includes accurate device icons and clear, step-by-step instructions for user clarity. QR codes are integrated for seamless access to online resources, including sudoku puzzle generators and detailed walkthroughs.
